Sarees have been divided into so many types that have been evolved in the various regions of India.North India is known for brocade saree, and South India for embroidery with gold thread.In some regions, long skirts or trousers are worn with the saree.Saree is basically a traditional women’s costume in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan.A plain blouse and slip are worn underneath the saree.
