Sonam Kapoor in Heavy Rohit Bal Floor Length Off White Anarkali Suit. Sonam Kapoor attended the IMC Women’s Wing in Mumbai in a traditional ensemble by Rohit Bal. She accessorized her off white anarkali suit with earrings by Sunita Kapoor and slipped on to a pair of juttis by Needle Dust. Braided updo with mogras finished off her look. She looked gorgeous.
There’s no one better than the statuesque Ms. Kapoor to pull off the volume heavy Rohit Bal floor-sweeping anarkalis. And yet, as perfect as the look was on paper, it felt lacking. While the updo may have been intended to balance out the volume, it made the look seem rather mature. Had she instead opted for a softer, wispier updo, sans the flowers and bindi, it would’ve been just the kind of soft, feminine look Sonam does so well.
